EXTERIOR STYLING
-Streamlined front wings with revised air vents and a resculpted hood create more dynamic contours for the XF. The effect is heightened by the remodelled front grille and the exciting new front bumper designs.
FRONT LIGHTING
-Slimmer headlamp units provide a more assertive look for the XF.
-The Bi-function HID Xenon headlamps are available with Adaptive technology, allowing the beam to bend in the direction of the steering.
-Drivers have the further option of Intelligent High Beam, which will automatically turn the full beam on and off to adjust to incoming traffic.
-All models of the new XF are fitted with headlamp washers as standard.
LIGHT SIGNATURE
-The headlamp units incorporate Daytime Running Lights arranged in ‘J Blade’ formation – now a visual signature of the Jaguar brand.
REAR LIGHTS
-LED light guide technology has been incorporated into the rear light clusters on the XF, creating a unique night-time signature for the vehicle. LEDs are now used for the stop and tail lights as well as the indicators, and the design of the tail lamps has been strikingly reshaped so that it extends onto the trunk lid.
ELECTRIC DOOR MIRRORS
-The power exterior mirrors are heated to improve visibility in cold weather. In addition, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, available as optional or standard depending on the model, help reduce glare at night.
BLIND SPOT MONITOR
-The Blind Spot Monitor, optional on XF and XF Portfolio and standard on XF Supercharged and XFR, uses radar to take much of the uncertainty out of changing lanes. An amber warning icon appears in the external mirror when the system detects vehicles that cannot be seen either directly or in one of the mirrors.
PRECISE PARKING
-Ultrasonic sensors in the XF’s rear bumper are designed to detect objects up to 70 inches away and provide the driver with an audible warning. At the same time, graphics on the Touch-screen represent where the object is in relation to the car. In addition, a front parking aid – designed to alert the driver to objects ahead of the car – and a rear camera parking aid, which displays video from a rear-facing digital camera on the Touch-screen are optional on XF and standard on the other XF models.
